Game to be held prior to contest between Japan and Chinese Taipei on March 10 at the Tokyo Dome

On March 10th, the All-Japan University selection will face the All-Industrial Leagues team prior to the game between the national teams from Japan and Chinese Taipei at the Tokyo Dome. Seven players were selected from disaster affected areas for this game.

Yoshinobu Suzuki, Vice President of the Baseball Federation of Japan commented "We received a proposal to work with the professional side to support the reconstruction and we as amateur side agreed on it. This is meaningful"

Prospects for this year's draft in Nippon Professional Baseball, Nao Higashihama and Koji Fukutani are also included in the university side's roster. The All-Japan University squad will be managed by Koji Kanamitsu (Manager of the Hosei University) and Tetsuya Horii, currently managing JR East, will be managing the Industrial All-Star team.
