Organizing Committee for 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup Launched

First U18 BWC in Japan from August 28 to September 6, 2015

Local Organizing Committee comprising 18 people of Baseball Federation of Japan (BFJ) and Japan High School Baseball Federation (JHBF) convened its first meeting at JHBF Headquarters in Osaka on October 1, 2014 and elected Takayasu Okushima, President of JHBF, as president and Yoshinobu Suzuki, Vice President of BFJ, and Takahiro Ochi, Vice Presinent of JHBF, as VP’s.

12 teams identified by IBAF are expected to participate in the 17th 1BAF 18U BWC in Osaka area for 10 days from August 28th to September 6th, 2015.

Japan has played 3 times in the event and won bronze medal in 2004 and 2013 (both in Taiwan) and 6th place in 2012 in Korea
