HAARLEM, The Netherlands - The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team posted yet another shutout, its fifth in the last seven games, as it cruised past Chinese Taipei, 3-0, in the final game of the double round-robin portion of Honkbal Week at Pim Mulier Stadium on Friday.
With the win Team USA improves to 16-3-2 overall this summer, including a 5-1 record at Honkbal Week. It will advance to the sudden-death playoff rounds as the number-one seed and will play Chinese Taipei again on Saturday in the semifinals at 2 p.m. (8 a.m. ET). Vanderbilt right-hander Carson Fulmer will get the start on the mound. The winner will advance to face the victor of Saturday's nightcap between Japan and the Netherlands
