Taiwanese Alumni Cheer in Koshien

23 alumni of former Chiayi Agricultural and Forestry School’s baseball club (Currently National Chiayi University) of Taiwan were among the guests of Japan High School Baseball Federation to the opening ceremony of the 93rd National Championship at Hanshin Koshien Stadium on August 6.

This year marks 80th anniversary of Chiayi’s taking the second place at the 17th National Championship when Taiwan was under the Japanese rule. The delegation brought a large banner of “Hold On Japan!” in Chinese to echo Japan’s post-quake efforts.
