Japan and Korea 2 wins followed by Chinese Taipei 1-1

Korean pitchers Jung In Wook, Kim Ki Tae, Yoon Ji Woong and Jin Myung Ho kept China at bay and won 4-0.
Japan knocked out 11 hits from Pakistan to finish the game 13 – 0 in 7th inning. Batting 7th for Japan, outfielder Takumi Horikoshi (24, Nippon Steel-Sumitomo Metal Kashima) batted in 6runs with 3 hits including 2 three-base hits. Pitcher Daichi Osera (21, Kyushu Kyoritsu University) recorded stunning 9 consecutive strike outs for the first 3 innings and culminating total of 16 strike outs by 3
pitchers against Pakistan.
Chinese Taipei which lost the first game to Japan scored 12 runs against Philippines’ 1, ending the game in 8th inning.
