Abe and Yoshikawa named Most Valuable Player in NPB

Madonna　Japan　which won three straight title of the IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup received Commissioner’s Special Award at the NPB Convention in Tokyo on November 21. Manager Shintani thanked for the honor and praised performance of the players.

Balloting by about 250 sports writers of over 5 years’ on the job selected best professional players of 2012 season and named catcher Abe (33) of Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and pitcher Yoshikawa (24) of Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters as MVP for Central and Pacific Leagues respectively.
