BFA Publishes Minutes of Executive Committee Meeting Held on October 21
Baseball Federation of Asia published the minutes of Executive Committee Meeting held ON-Line on October 21. Some of the main decision includes the following:
Remark of BFA President Tom Peng (Chinese Taipei):
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all the scheduled competitions, meetings and other events had to be cancelled. Nevertheless, it is encouraging to see that the BFA member Federations are active within their respective territories. As an Executive member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) , I will continue to keep BFA member federations informed of any decisions and/or development on the global scene and look forward to seeing Executive Committee Members again in Taiwan in March, 2021.
Message of WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari:
To compensate the scheduled events during 2020, WBSC is launching many digital projects such as for coaches, umpires and scorers. Asia has always been a leading continent withing the global baseball community. WBSC values BFA’s support and contributions.
Membership:
Palestine joined BFA recently. Reinstatement of Malaysia to BFA remains unresolved because of non-recognition by the National Olympic Federation of Malaysia. Several countries have not paid annual membership fees for a very long time has been designated as provisional member until such time as they fulfil their responsibility.
Budget:
2020 and 2021 budget are approved.
