USA Baseball opens Int’l Friendship Series with win over Chinese Taipei

CARY, North Carolina (U.S.) — The USA defeated Chinese Taipei, 6-3, in the first game of the WBSC-sanctioned International Friendship Series involving the top college baseball players from Chinese Taipei, Japan and the United States.
The U.S. will also take on the Cuban Men’s National Team as part of the series, in which the U.S. will host and play 5-game series with each nation:
• 27 June to 1 July: Chinese Taipei vs. United States
• 2-7 July: Cuba vs. United States
• 12-17 July: Japan vs. United States
