Results South East Asian Games November 14

Philippines and Indonesia prevail on 2nd Day

The baseball tournament at the 26th South East Asian Games in Indonesia continued with two games on Monday. In the morning Indonesia needed a pair of runs in the top of the 10th inning to defeat Thailand 7-5. Muara Elia Sihombing and Jesse Parengkuan scored twice for the hosts, Sek Sitthikaew for Thailand. Akbar Kamaluddin received the win, Siraphop Nadee the loss.

In the afternoon the Philippines scored in seven of the first eight innings to beat Vietnam 10-0. Carlos Alberto Munoz, Vladimir Eguia and Charlie Labrador combined for 15 strikeouts in eight scoreless one-hit innings. Saxon Omandac, Christian Canlas and Alfredo Olivarez had two RBI each. Dang Phuong Vu Le took the loss for Vietnam.
