Japanese College Sends Baseball Coaches to Peru
Kinki University announced that the 8 volunteer students of Faculty of Humanity-Oriented Science and Engineering, joined by associate professor Jiro Kuroda will conduct baseball coaching to Junior players in Lima, Peru from February 12 to March 9, 2016. This is the 3rd time that Kinki University’s volunteer students to help Peruvian kids to learn baseball.
This project follows the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which is designed to expand JICA’s ongoing program of sending young sport volunteers overseas.
In recognition of extraordinary contribution to help promoting baseball and softball on a global basis over the years, IBAF at its Congress in Tokyo on April 14, 2013 presented Special Award to the JICA.
