IBAF 15U World Cup Day 3: Aug. 2, 2014
Brazil, Cuba, Chinese Taipei, Japan and U.S.A. remain undefeated
New Zealand 0 – Japan 16 (5th inning)

Led by center fielder Hayato Nishiura Japan prevailed 16-0 over New Zealand, earning their third win of the tournament. It was a close game in the beginning before Japan exploded for 12 runs combined in the fourth and fifth. Nishiura went 2-for-3 with a home run and six RBI. Kensei Saito, Masato Owada and Koki Chikamoto kept New Zealand hitless in the contest. Liam Wilson got charged with the loss. Team Japan meets U.S.A. at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 3.  Top 2 from each group will advance to the 'Super' round-robin semifinal after Day 5
