Inaugural 15U Baseball World Championship set to commence on Thursday
16 Teams travel to Chihuahua, Mexico for the 10-Day Tournament

The inaugural IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship starts on Thursday, August 16 in Chihuahua, Mexico. It will be played through Sunday, August 26. 16 teams have traveled to Mexico to compete in the new tournament, created by the International Baseball Federation, replacing the 16U age category.

Games in the first round will be played at three different stadiums in Chihuahua, Parral and Cuauhtémoc. The participating teams are split into three groups. After the preliminary round robin, the top two from each pool advance to the second round trying to qualify for the gold medal game.

On day one on Thursday six games will be played, starting at 9am local time. As for all IBAF tournaments, games can be followed live via Gametracker on www.ibaf.org. Game reports will be published on the website in timely manner.
